A group of unsung heroes in the Dufferin region quietly goes about the business of transforming our community by strengthening and restoring the relationships between children in crisis and their families. Sometimes the family of origin needs to be restored, and at other times, a new foster or adoptive family becomes established. In both kinds of situations, the staff of Dufferin Child and Family Services work hard to bring about the best possible long term outcomes for children and caregivers alike. This is the story of the Mitchells and their brave journey to become the fun loving family that they are today.
This feedback was provided by Pat Elliott, Manager of Resources and Adoption, at the conclusion of the project:
“I began working with Drew thinking I knew what I wanted as a final product. He showed amazing vision and steered me gently and persistently to what he knew I needed and I couldn’t be more pleased with the end result.”
